The Superior Court is Georgia's general jurisdiction trial court. It has jurisdiction over both criminal cases such as felony cases, divorce cases, equity cases and cases that involve a jury. For example, if you are charged with a misdemeanor or traffic violation but request a jury trial, you will be transferred to Washington County Superior Court.
Washington County is part of the Middle Judicial Circuit. There are eight judges on the circuit that rotate through multiple counties. Honorable Kathy S.
