The Superior Court is Georgia's general jurisdiction trial court. It has jurisdiction over both criminal cases such as felony cases, divorce cases, equity cases and cases that involve a jury. Clayton County belongs to the Clayton Judicial Circuit, which consists of four judges. The Chief Judge is the Honorable Albert B. Collier and his office can be reached at 770-477-3495. Judge Deborah Benefield, Judge Geronda Carter and Judge Matthew Simmons are the other three judges of the Clayton Judicial Circuit.
