Coweta County Superior Court
The Superior Court is Georgia's general jurisdiction trial court. It has jurisdiction over both criminal cases such as felony cases, divorce cases, equity cases and cases that involve a jury. For example, if you are charged with a misdemeanor or traffic violation but request a jury trial, you will be transferred to Coweta Superior Court.
Coweta County is part of the Coweta Judicial Circuit. The circuit is comprised of five counties: Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether, and Troup. There are six Superior Court judges that serve the Coweta Judicial Circuit: Chief Judge A. Quillian Baldwin Jr., Judge Dennis Blackmon, Judge Bill Hamrick, Judge Jack Kirby, Judge W.
